Heartland Mall Teen Board is a prestigious postion for area teens from 13-17 years of age. Teen Board members act as Ambassadors not only for the mall but in the community.
Applications are accepted through the month of January. Following the application process, interviews are scheduled around the teens already busy schedules and only the finest leaders with good, moral character are selected to represent Heartland Mall.
The teens are given numerous opportunities to interact not only with their peers from area schools, but also business owners, managers, chamber officials, mall patrons and more. Opportunites for the teens consist of job interview skills, resume building, modeling, photography sessions, visual merchandising, volunteering within the community at area events, and promotions. Mall merchants offer perks for the Teens. Once the teen is on the Teen Board, they are allowed to serve until High School graduation. College Scholarships are awarded to the most deserving.

The male teen board members often will participate by helping the female teen board members up and down the stairs, while wearing something representative of Heartland Mall.
